YCH Services for Young People Identity Transgender Project, Stevenage
The YCH Services for Young People Identity Transgender Project is open to all young people who live or are educated in the Stevenage area of Hertfordshire and who identify as transgender, non-binary, gender fluid and/or questioning their gender or sexuality. It is run by YCH Services for Young People which aims to provide a safe space for a social and supportive group. The Stevenage group meets monthly on a Wednesday.
YCH Services for Young People is working with Who Not What, a group of young LGBT+ people who have come together to improve services for young LGBT+ young people in Herts. Through their work we've developed specific support for the young transgender community.
Our aim is to provide a safe space for young trans people to socialise and support each other. Come and talk about the things that matter to you, relax and have fun. Our friendly youth workers organise activities and offer support and advice.
- A place to explore your identity
- Support and information about transitioning, your rights, coming out and much more
- Activities and workshops, e.g. art projects, drama games and film nights
- An opportunity to celebrate LGBT History Month and LGBT+ culture with peers
