'Starburst' is a YC Hertfordshire project with a focus on young adults with learning disabilities aged 18-24. Come along to the Watford Young People's Centre on Tuesday evenings to take part in a range of activities including drama, arts and crafts and cooking, in a fun and supportive atmosphere. YC Hertfordshire is the new name for Youth Connexions.

YC Hertfordshire's Starburst Project is for young people aged 18-24 with learning difficulties or disabilities. It is based at the Watford Young People's Centre, a wonderful multi-activity centre for young people in Watford which has a sports, dance and activity hall, an art room and a state-of-the-art kitchen.

We focus on independent living skills, relationships and emotional well-being in a relaxed and supportive environment. The project has a welcoming and friendly atmosphere and we are always looking to welcome and include new young people who might be interested in joining us.

Young people attending can develop their knowledge, skills and confidence through a range of fun activities, including cooking, sports, arts and crafts and drama.

The Watford Young People's Centre is fully wheelchair accessible and the cooking suite is specially designed to be wheelchair-user friendly.
